About Stress and Test Anxiety

Many students experience test anxiety or stress when they take tests. Feeling nervous before an important exam, performance, or assessment is natural and reasonable. If you find that the stress is manageable - it does not interfere with your ability to perform - then you are probably fine to continue to experience stress the way you do; for some a little stress heightens awareness and allows them to perform to the best of their abilities.

But, what if this isn't you?

For some students, text anxiety can be crippling. If you are unable to sleep the night before something like an important test, if your mind goes blank when you open the test booklet, if you get a headache or stomach ache when you think about your spelling test or ACT, you would probably benefit from addressing your test anxiety. Below are some suggestions to help you. If these still fall short of the mark, feel free to contact me. I have helped hundreds of students lower and overcome test anxiety, and I would love to help you.
